Do you think it's bad to fold your potentially Sh*t hand before the flop if you're in the SB???

You're SB and you get dealt 72offsuit.....should you see a flop most of the time or not??

How do you feel about being in late position with notso hot cards.....no callers or very few.....would you call the BB whether you were the SB or not..just to see a flop and see if you could make something of nothing or would you just lay it down???

I ask because I generally lay it down but have seen numerous types where I WOULD have hit big on the flop and I've also seen numerous times where my BIG HIT would have gotten clobbered by a bigger hand....that's why I'm posing the question.

Thanks in advance for your insight.

it all depends, on chip stacks, what type of players you are in with and your reads. sometimes i call in the small blind with crap cards, just to defend my blinds, but i wont call if some super tight player UTG raises

Lots of variables but consider:
Are you in with a no foldem holdem crowd? Most LLHE games are.
Generally, if I only need to complete the BB, I limp in with:
- Any small PP
- Suited connectors down to 56
- Any two face cards that are unsuited. (some folks raise, I don't. My simulations on Turbo (100K hands) indicate AQ-Jo and KQo to JTo have negative $ expectations.)
- Ax suited
- Kx suited
- suited one gappers down to 75
Button play is really dependent on the # of players in and texture of the game. I can't really comment.

All depends on the blinds. If I have 1500 chips and the blinds are 10/15 and it is limped to me in the SB then yes - I am calling with any two cards. Just be very careful about what happens after the flop. Just ask M3.

In a regular ring game, people lose the most money from poor blind standards. With the small blind at half the big blind you should typically loosen up only a bit outside of normal limping standards. As EZ said though, often the chipstacks in tournaments make these easy calls.
